The Quint: Artist Brings Superheroes to Life With His Paintings On Walls

Adam Hargreaves, a 28-year-old artist from Yorkshire uses his vivid imagination to transform walls of kids’ rooms by meticulously painting various superheroes in action.
Hargreaves paints these cartoon characters while painting wall murals, a work he started after his daughter’s Disneyland wall mural went viral last year. Ever since then, he has been flooded with orders. It takes 3 weeks to make a room alive. Check out this time lapse video.

The Quint: Dare to Race on a Frozen Baikal Lake? These Russians Do

The deepest – and possibly oldest – freshwater lake in the world hosted a freezing endurance race.
Baikal in Siberian Russia is the largest (by volume) freshwater lake in the world and in the winter temperatures regularly drop below -14 Centigrade (7 Fahrenheit).
More than 40 Russians and 30 Dutch nationals took part in the event.
They competed in an ice skating and cycling contest, with the skiing contest sadly cancelled due to a lack of people willing to brave the gruelling journey on skis.
The racing lasted three days and its participants had to overcome a total of 205 kilometres (127 miles).
The winners from the two categories were – unsurprisingly – Russian.

A professional stuntman from Pakistan has jaws so brawny that he can bend an iron rod using his teeth and pull a minibus loaded with passengers.
Ghulam Farooq, 32, wows crowds with daredevil performances including lifting two bricks with his eyelids and boasts of mastering more than 50 life-threatening stunts.
Ghulam’s incredible mettle and strength has given him the moniker of ‘Jaw of Iron’ in the country.
But for Ghulam, who has also opened a training program where he helps youngsters learn stunts, his ultimate wish is to become the strongest man in the world.

More than 70 people were killed when a suicide bomber detonated explosives at a crowded Sufi shrine in southern Pakistan on Thursday, a police official said
Islamic State claimed responsibility for the suicide bombing in southern Pakistan, the group’s affiliated news agency AMAQ reported. This week has seen a wave of bombings in Pakistan.
